Documentation next to the work

When documentation is scattered across folders, files and other tools, SOPs get lost, project notes go out of date and the same questions keep coming back. ClickUp Docs keep it in the same place as the work it describes, as a Doc view in a list or from the Docs hub.

Building a doc

A doc starts with a title and text. Typing a forward slash (/) opens the command menu for blocks such as columns, new pages and banners, and a doc can hold pages and subpages. Comments sit inside the document, so the discussion stays with the content.

Wikis and sharing

Marking a doc as a wiki flags it as a trusted reference, suited to company policies, onboarding guides and SOPs that people check often. Sharing settings decide who can open it: a public link, a private link for specific people, or a protected page. Reviewing important docs regularly keeps them current.
